It seems kind of silly to have to ask the question, "is that a bedroom?" when you see what obviously looks like one. Our friend, you might just be surprised that what you see might NOT be a bedroom
Securing Your Identity When Moving
Moving. A word that strikes dread in the hearts of buyers and sellers like a dark, ominous cloud threatening rain. Even if you hire a moving company, the packing and cleaning still must be done. Today, we take a look at something that also needs attention during a move; your identity.
When moving, it is a good idea to step up your game on protecting your identity. A lot of mail with important information is going to be in flux. Online billing and autopay are sound options in order to prevent lost or forgotten bills and payments in the moving transition. If your home will be empty for a time after you move on, if you don't take the online solution, have a trusted neighbor or relative check your mailbox daily. Knowing what time the mail carrier delivers will be a definite advantage.
Before, during and after a move from the old home to the new, don’t share too much information with folks you don’t know. Connecting utilities require personal information. It's best to try to do these in person if at all possible, avoiding relay of information over unsecured phone lines; and even those that may be recorded for 'quality purposes'.
Be very proactive in mail forwarding. A quick trip to your post office can ensure that your mail gets to you at the right address. An added ounce of prevention is to contact any agencies that you receive mail from on a regular basis to notify of the change of address. Don't forget these folks when you notify:
Utility companies, including internet and phone providers
Newspapers and magazine subscription services
Your health insurance company
Your life insurance provider
The schools you attended, alumni associations
Other insurance policies (car, life, etc.)
Your children’s schools
Credit card companies
