FULL LIST Entertainment Lineup Announced For Appalachian Fair

GRAY, TN (WJHL) – This year's Appalachian Fair will be August 24th -29th on the fairgrounds in Gray. Tuesday, organizers announced this year's lineup for County Nights and Carnival Lights. As always, there are some hot names on the list.

One of the biggest names of the list is Season Ten American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. According to his website, McCreery burst on the scene in 2011 at the age of 17. By 21 he sold nearly 2.5 million albums and has toured with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry. Recently, he teamed up with the Grand Ole Opry to play for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital for Cause for Applause.

Also, on the list is Kentucky-born singer, songwriter and producer Chris Stapleton. In his 15-year career he's written songs for George Strait, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker and Josh Turner, according to his website. Stapleton released a mainstream country album in May called "Traveller".

And legendary award-winning artist Charlie Daniels along with his band are on the lineup for the Appalachian Fair's Country Nights and Carnival Lights. Daniels has been a full-fledge member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008.


The Appy Fair main stage entertainment are as follows. Showtime for each is 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

  • 8/24 – Monday – Scotty McCreery

  • 8/25- Tuesday – Cole Swindell

  • 8/26 – Wednesday- Chris Stapleton

  • 8/27 – Thursday – Charlie Daniels Band

  • 8/28 – Friday – Dailey & Vincent

  • 8/29 – Saturday – Matthew West

On the Museum stage the entertainment will be as follows:

  • 8/24 – Monday – Fairest of the Fair – 8:00 p.m.

  • 8/25 – Tuesday Little Miss Contest – 6:00 p.m.

  • 8/26 – Wednesday – Battle of the Bands – 7:30 p.m.

  • 8/27 – Thursday – Youth Talent Contest – 7:00 p.m.

  • 8/28 – Friday – "So You Think You Can Dance" – 7:00 p.m.

  • 8/29 – Saturday – "Appalachian Fair's Got Talent" – 7:00 p.m.
