It seems kind of silly to have to ask the question, "is that a bedroom?" when you see what obviously looks like one. Our friend, you might just be surprised that what you see might NOT be a bedroom
Milligan Students Start The School Year With A Splash
Reporter Jessica Fuller writes in this week's Johnson City Press that new students reporting Milligan College for classes later this week took a day for fun and festivities before starting back to the studies. This outing gave freshmen a chance to get to know other's who are just starting to the school. Activities were held at New River Gorge on Sunday afternoon, and included activities from corn hole to ultimate Frisbee to ziplining into the water.
According to Campus Activities Director Jason Onks, Milligan has been treating its new students to the retreat for more than 10 years now. In addition to soothing some nerves before a big change in the students’ lives, Onks said the retreat serves as an opportunity for new students to find fellowship within Milligan’s community.
“The objective is about building community and giving them a focus time,” Onks said. “They can develop those relationships themselves because they’re having this experience in going into this new phase in their life.”
