It seems kind of silly to have to ask the question, "is that a bedroom?" when you see what obviously looks like one. Our friend, you might just be surprised that what you see might NOT be a bedroom
Is The Man Cave The Most Coveted Room In The House
This past weekend the world celebrated Father's Day (Happy Father's Day to all the awesome Dad's out there!) Other than the traditional tie, or barbecue celebrating this awesome guy, what would you think most Dad's covet as a gift? Well, in his castle, studies show the overwhelming winner to be Dad's own space.
When choosing a home design, women seem to be more practical about spaces, preferring feature areas like open floor plans to keep an eye on the family while cooking dinner, luxury baths, mudrooms, and close proximity to good schools and shopping. Dad's however, want a place to get away from it all, a place to relax; a place for his hobbies; a place for his prized possessions. Moreover, a place to have 'the guys' over to watch the game, play cards, or if they play an instrument, a great place for a good jam.
Man caves don't necessarily exist inside the home, as a matter of fact, if the space doesn't allow for the cave, they'll find a space outside. The original man cave was traditionally in the garage, and still is the favorite location for the cave, as it is far from kid's rooms, and high traffic areas that would be inside the home. Along with the advantage of an exterior man cave, comes opportunity for an outside cooking/grilling space, a hammock, or if he's really fortunate, a relaxing swimming pool.
