10 Million Dollar Piece Of History
Last week, it was reported that the late Jackie Kennedy's Georgetown mansion recently hit the Washington DC market for a cool 10 million dollars. Jackie Kennedy purchased the home after the 1963 assassination of of her husband, and then President, John F. Kennedy. The 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom house was vacated by Mrs. Kennedy, reported somewhat hastily, leaving behind some of the first children John and Caroline's toys a short time after the purchase, in 1964. Mrs. Kennedy advised she'd "had it" with Washington.
The buyer post-Kennedy was Yolande Betbeze Fox, Miss America 1951, who passed away recently. The heirs of Ms. Fox now have the home at 3017 N Street NW in Georgetown on the market, and are anxious to find the home's history-appreciative new buyer.
Albeit not as famous as the 3017 N. Street NW address, many new homes hit the market here in the TriCities daily as well!
